What Was I Doing?

Group Size - Small (5)
Group Abilities - All Abilities
Icebreaker Purpose - Opening Up
Preparation - none
Materials - 1 penny per participant in a bag.
Time - 5 minutes
Have a basket, envelope or whatever with pennies in it. Have each attendee pick one penny.
Go around the room and have each person tell what they were doing during the year on the penny. Limit the time to 1 minute per person.
Remember to check the dates on the coins though to make sure that they correspond to the attendees ages!
I use this game a lot and it's really fun - people loosen up, but you also get to know a little something about them.
