Clap on 7 Icebreaker Exercise

by Mihir Thakar
(Pune, India)

Group Size - Medium (5-20) to Large (20+)
Group Abilities - All Abilities
Icebreaker Purpose - Fun
Preparation - none
Materials - none
Time: 5 minutes

Ask the group to form a circle and start counting from one. Say it loudly.

When you arrive at 7 or a multiple of 7 (14, 21, 28 and so on), you have to clap and not say the number. If you say the number you are out.

Restart the game counting from one again, however you could choose to use a different special number. So, if you changed to 5, you would clap on 5 and it's multiples.

Keep going as long as you like, or until there is only one person left.
