This was used at a Christmas party as an icebreaker game and also to form groups for the games we were going to play after dinner.
Upon check-in, everyone was given a slip of paper with a Christmas carol written on it. If for example, you want to form 4 groups, there will be 4 sets of slips, each slip with only one of the 4 Christmas carols written on it.
Once everyone arrived, you had to walk around the room singing your Christmas carol until you found everyone in your group. I had to say, this was very clever and a lot of fun!
This icebreaker game could be done at other types of parties/events. Just substitute the Christmas carols with other (easy to sing) songs or nursery rhymes.
